Visits to England provide a multitude of historical sites like Dover and Canterbury for the traveler to experience. As a child, I remember seeing images of the white cliffs of Dover in my World Book Encyclopedia. I’ve wanted to grab a visit ever since, and I finally made it happen on my May 2022 trip to London. Bundling the white cliffs visit with a stop at Dover Castle and Canterbury maximized my limited time in the county of Kent, England.
My trip began in London on a luxury coach by Anderson Tours. I highly recommend them as a tour provider (full disclosure, sample size of 1) as the guide Andy and driver Magnus were superb all day long! And be prepared for a long day, as the tour is scheduled for 10+ hours.
Regardless, here’s some of my favorite shots from the day. I started looking forward only to the white cliffs, but following the day, I am happy to have seen Dover Castle and Canterbury!
