Y’all, I’m not gonna lie—holding a 6,000-year-old Egyptian vase at the 2025 Cosmic Summit was like gripping a puzzle from ancient engineers. As an engineer myself, I was geeking out hard when I got to handle these mind-blowing artifacts from Matt Beall’s collection in Greensboro, NC. The Cosmic Summit (June 20–23, 2025) was a wild dive into ancient mysteries, and these vases, plus a shoutout to Ben van Kedrkwyn’s epic YouTube video, had me questioning everything. Check my photo gallery below to see me nerding out with history in my hands!

Picture this: I’m in the Koury Convention Center, vibing with folks obsessed with lost civilizations. Matt Beall, a collector with a knack for jaw-dropping finds, brought his pre-dynastic stone vases—granite and basalt stunners carved with precision that’d make a modern lathe jealous. I held one, and holy cow, it was unreal. Smooth as glass, perfectly round, and balanced like it was 3D-printed. Matt’s 3D scans show tolerances down to thousandths of an inch—thousandths! I’m over here wondering how they nailed that with stone tools. Ben van Kedrkwyn’s video on UnchartedX (https://youtu.be/QzFMDS6dkWU?si=Hz4t6tW8e1Kd6tkw) dives deep into this, showing scans that scream advanced craftsmanship. As an engineer, I was shook—were these folks using tech we’ve lost?
The Summit was electric—Randall Carlson and Dr. Robert Schoch were dropping truth bombs, and the vase display room felt like a portal to ancient Egypt. Holding that vase, I imagined the hands that shaped it. Was it for rituals, oils, or just flexing? My engineer’s pride kept my grip steady, but I was low-key sweating about dropping 6,000 years of history.
These vases were an ancient engineering flex, and Ben van Kedrkwyn’s video sealed the deal for me. The Cosmic Summit left me buzzing with “what ifs.” Ever touched something so old it rewired your brain? Drop a comment and let’s swap stories! Or better yet, come on down to the Cosmic Summit 2026-coming next June!
Happy wandering,
